Stupid idea, followed by pencil, followed by ink, followed by rubber, followed by watercolours. Cookie created the picture in the traditional way. The nonsulant look on the face of the fish crossing, gived the impression that coming close to being run over by such a vehicle is a common occurance. Likewise, it seems the large fish is also unsurprised by the late braking suggesting a possible braking fault or late reaction/poor viability for the rider. Though the pedestrian fish in the background don't seem to be handling the precarious situation quite so calmly. The artist chose a tasteful neigh tone for the row of houses to subtly compliment the green and blue of the fish whilst adding depth to the overall scene. Please not the detail and brush strokes involved in this picture and the significant dots which are used as a form of shading on most of Cookie's cartoons. All done for the joy of freehaand painting
