One of the things that makes Cookie's cartoon artwork so distinctive is the amount of detail hidden within it.
People often see the main joke or character first.
But look again.
There may be something happening in the background.
Pen and Ink with watercolour by Cookie
Fish House
A certain bran of Indian ink, a particular make of watercolours washed around with the same old set of brushes, on a particular weight and texture of paper. The traditional combination that gives a Cookie original its real authenticity. The subject matter normally dreamed up from a random thought, possibly inspired by a ghost train or fun house. Fish House doesn't look incredibly popular, maybe due to its location, safety standards of the swing and roller coaster, intimidating security and slightly cautious expression of the fish.
